William Adam Calderwood Hood, 77, of Newark/Pataskala, OH-IO died on
December 7, 2018 at Dublin Methodist Hospital. Bill was born in Pittsburgh on February 26, 1941 to the late Adam Calderwood and Janet McWilliam Hood. He was an Electrical Designer working for various companies in the Tri-State area. Bill was a volunteer member of the Golden Triangles Baton & Drum Corps and longtime member of the Swissvale United Methodist Church and choir.
Bill is survived by his children, Scott Alan Hood and Janet Lynn (Samuel) Marshall; grandchildren, Carson Albert (Mattie) Marshall and Bradley David Hood; his longtime companion, Mary Alice Smith; and her children Lori (Jon) Carr and Matt (Juli) Smith; William was preceded in death by his youngest son, Adam Wade Hood; his brother, Robert Hood; and his ex-wife Marjorie Joynt Schmidt.
Visitation on Saturday, December 15th, 10am-12pm followed by a brief memorial service at noon. The celebration of Bill’s life will take place at Violet Baptist Church, 8345 Blacklick Eastern Rd. NW., Pickerington, Ohio 43147.
