William A. “Bill” Rahe, age 84, of Baltimore, died peacefully Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his residence. Born July 19, 1934 in Brentwood, PA, one of 14 children to the late Raymond G. & Mary (Stosic) Rahe. He was a proud brickmason with Bricklayers Union Local #55, working over 50 years with Sepich Construction and others. Bill was a generous and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was kind to all those he met. He enjoyed hunting and fishing out West, in Canada, and especially near the cabin he built in Warren, PA. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Laverne Rahe; children, Lisa (Ray) Taylor, Westerville, William A. (April) Rahe, II, Lenexa, KS, Andy Rahe, Gahanna; grandchildren, William Andrew Rahe, III, Ryan Andrew Taylor, and Ashley Rahe; sister, Kathryn Yates; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Raymond, Robert, Chuck, Mary Anne, Dory, Tony, Ginny, Denny, Ruthie, Bud, John, and Joe.
Friends may visit 4-8 pm Monday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 600 Hill Road N., Pickerington, with Fr. Pat Gaughan, Celebrant. A Vigil Service will be held 7:45 pm Monday at the funeral home. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Columbus Academy, 4300 Cherry Bottom Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 for their need based financial aid funds in Bill’s memory.
