Clarence G. Angles, age 84, of Pickerington, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his family Monday, October 16, 2017. He was born January 13, 1933 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Clyde and Muriel Angles. Clarence attended Berlin Elementary, and graduated from Wellston High School. As a youth, he enjoyed the environment of the coal mine, his family’s farm, and the rolling hills of beautiful southern Ohio. Clarence would receive an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and throughout his career work for Jeffrey Mining and Manufacturing, Battelle, and American Electric Power. Lunch during his work career was spent playing euchre with his buddies; he always enjoyed making new friendships.
Clarence was a member of Pickerington Church of the Nazarene; where he served as a Worship Center Greeter. He loved his Creator and his church family. Clarence loved life and was an avid sports fan, following all of the local area teams. He was a loving and caring family man; and cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
He joins in heaven his beloved brothers, Hayden, Edward, John and Carl; and infant daughter, Terry Lynn.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Faye Angles; children, Trena (Steve) Bergin, Dawn (Keith) McEnany, Chris Angles; step-children, Eric (Kim) Coffman, Krista (John) Seibert; He celebrated the birth of 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, Tiffany (Tracy) Giese, Mac and Carter McEnany, Olivia and Sophia Angles; step-grandchildren, Brandt and Kortnie Coffman, Alex and Benjamin Place, Hannah and Elizabeth Siebert; great-grandson, Dominic Giese; sisters, Juanita Storer, Lucretia (Dewey) Leach; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit 5:30-7:30 pm on Friday, October 20 at Pickerington Church of the Nazarene, 11775 Pickerington Rd. NW, Pickerington, OH 43147, where a funeral service, officiated by Pastor Phil Manson and Doug Jenkins, will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 21. Interment at Salem Cemetery will be private.
