John D. Robinett

John D. Robinett, age 60, of New Albany, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born September 23, 1956 in Columbus to the late Reno & Eleanor (Chambers) Robinett, he was a graduate of Canal Winchester High School, received his BA from Muskingum College in 1979, and his law degree from Case Western Reserve in 1982. John was a partner at Ice Miller in Columbus.
John is survived by his wife of 30 years, Debra Robinett; mother-in-law, Ruth “Betty” Rufo, Canal Winchester; special niece, Elizabeth (John) Antonetti, Mogadore, and her children, Zackary, Anthony, Emily, and Sean; brothers, David (Gwen) Robinett, Lancaster, Chuck (Heather) Robinett, Ashville; sister-in-law, Sandy (Nick) Moldovan, Canton; other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at Faith United Methodist Church, 15 W. Columbus St., Canal Winchester on Saturday, May 20 from 9:30 to 11 am. A memorial service will follow at 11.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to the Children’s Hunger Alliance, 1105 Schrock Rd., Ste. 505, Columbus 43229 in John’s memory.
A celebration of John’s life is planned for later.
