Kenneth “Ken” R. Lee, age 69, of Columbus, OH and Paso Robles, CA, died Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Pickering House. He was born September 27, 1947 in Marietta, OH to the late Everett and Ruth Lee.
Ken was a 1965 graduate of Linden McKinley High School; he later attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Franklin University. Ken served our country as a Sergeant and sniper in the Marine Corps for six years. He worked for over 30 years as a salesman in the wine industry; starting his career at Hill Distributing, where he also started their Wine Division. Ken then worked for J. Lohr Winery as Director and Senior Vice President. He was an avid sports fan; Ken was a follower of the Buckeyes, Bengals, Reds, Dodgers and Blue Jackets. He also enjoyed traveling and real estate. Ken loved spending time with family and friends; he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Preceded in death by his step-father, Joseph A. Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rebecca Lee; children, Amber (Travis Valentine) Lee, Andrew (Brandi) Lee; grandchildren, Jaiden, Noah, Evie, Brecken, Harper; aunt, Ruby McKee; cousins, Judy Dimit, Joyce West; and many extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date. Arrangements by Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home & Crematory, Pickerington. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s memory can be made to The James Cancer Hospital, 1480 West Lane Avenue Columbus, OH 43221.
