Louis W. “Buzz” Kuntz passed away on Sunday, January 14th, 2018 at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital with his family at his side.
He was born July 1st, 1943 in Midway, Ohio to the late Joseph and Julia Kuntz. He graduated from St. Clairsville High School in 1961.
Buzz was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Francie Fedorovich Kuntz; children, Shane(Jenna) Kuntz, Shannon(Billy) Winland; step-children, David(Marcia)Zagoric and Lori Ann Tonello; grandchildren Blaise and Rachael Zagoric, Anthony and Adrianna Tonello, and Carlee Kuntz; sister Carol Kuntz Dombroski and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the U.S. Army 101 First Airborne Division as an Air Traffic Controller. In 1992, he formed Kuntz Construction Company, specializing in EPA work. He provided environmental and erosion control services to numerous builders, developers, and construction companies in the surrounding Columbus area.
A Memorial Mass, officiated by Father James Klima, will be held Saturday January 27th at 11:00 AM, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Catholic Church, 600 Hill Road N. Pickerington, Ohio 43147. Inurnment will be held at the discretion of the family at a later date. Online condolences at www.spencefuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Bishop Griffin Center, c/o Treasurer, 2875 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43209.
