Ralzie Eaves, age 79, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at his home. He was born March 21, 1938 in Huntington, WV to the late William and Fannie (Robinson) Eaves.
In addition to his parents, Ralzie is preceded in death by his brothers, Jake, Oakley and Frank; sisters, Ethel, Effie and Annie; great-granddaugter, Zoey; but most important was the love of his life and childhood sweetheart, his wife, Frennis Eaves.
Ralzie moved his wife and daughter to Columbus to make a better life for them and he accomplished that. He retired as a number one Diesel Mechanic; and had been featured in a pamphlet for a new product for trailer walls. Ralzie would always lend a hand, was the first to help family and friends and always had an open door. He was a loving and caring husband and father; Ralzie was always his daughter’s hero.
Ralzie is survived by his daughter, Joyce (David) McCauley; granddaughters, Tiffany Blankenship, Abbi Hackett; grandson, Randall (Jamey) Blankenship; great-granddaughter, Violet Mae Blankenship; numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A special love and thanks to Karen, Roger, Christopher and Timmy Kanke for all the help and care that was given; Karen became his second daughter with her selfless love, caring and kindness that was needed.
Family and friends may visit 10-12:00 pm on Monday, October 2, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110 where a funeral service, officiated by Pastor Chris Pierce, will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment Asbury Cemetery.
