Gary Bauman, age 70, of Pickerington, died Monday, August 28, 2017 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born November 24, 1946 in Columbus, OH. Gary was a 1965 graduate of Rosary High School.
He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam; continually celebrating the Marine Corps birthday each year with his buddies at the local VFW. Gary worked for Lucent Technologies, where he only missed one day of work in his 36 years of service. He had a passion for sports, he liked to golf, play softball and snow ski. His plan had always been to get three different generations of family out west on ski trips and this past February his plan was completed. He was very involved with his daughter and her activities growing up, even coaching at times; and kept that desire by following every activity of his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Bauman; aunt, Clara Flory.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sharon Bauman; daughter, Nicole (Jay) Woodward; grandchildren, Mason and Sierra Woodward; mother, Virginia M. Bauman; siblings, Melinda (Bob) Ross, Barbara Zizek, Craig (Ginny) Bauman, Jeanette (Dean) Dubois; aunt, Dolores Telerski; and many nieces and nephews.
