James Leslie Klamfoth, age 63, of Groveport, died suddenly September 9, 2017 at his home. Born March 2, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio; he was a devoted father and a loving family man. James was a staple in the local farming community and sold produce thru the Klamfoth Family Farm Market. He was deeply involved with the American Legion Post 677 in Lithopolis where he served as President for the S.A.L. from 2015-2017. He had a passion for the sheep industry, particularly the Suffolk breed. James raised, fitted and showed Suffolk sheep for over 50 years.
Preceded in death by his father, Donald Klamfoth, and brother, Randall Lee Klamfoth; James is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Katy Clark; sons, James (Sarah) Klamfoth and Joseph Klamfoth; grandchildren, Dalton, Knox and Kennady; mother, Betty Klamfoth; sisters, Jodi (Jack Chapman) Klamfoth, and Tila (John) Stancil; many dear friends and family members.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16 at David Evangelical Lutheran Church, 300 Groveport Pike, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110 with Pastor Leslie Fox officiating. Fellowship immediately to follow. Arrangements by the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
